For sale is this stunning nude bathing oil painting on board by William Hounsom Byles (1872-1924 to 1926). William Hounsom Byles was a British artist who came to New Zealand.  He was born in 1872 and died around 1924-26 (varying dates of his death are recorded around this time), he came to New Zealand in 1906. He exhibited with the Canterbury Society of Artists and Otago Art Society.

One of his works sold at Bonhams Knightsbridge in 2007 for $10241.00, however our example is the finest example I have seen. Including the frame it is 50cm x 41.7cm across. The actual painting is 34.6cm x 26.3cm across. As you can see we have used this painting to decorate our home page for the website.
