antique carved bone handle Mandau Borneo region head hunters knife / small sword with wooden scabbard inlaid with bone and horn. The handle is missing a piece on one side and has beautiful carved zoomorphic patterns with a stylised elephant's head, there may be the odd knock I have missed, and the recesses originally held hair. The blade has small knocks to the edge and some spots of brass inlay missing. The scabbard smells like sandle wood on one end, it has some bone ornamentation missing, and there is fishing nylon wrapped around one end, where the bone has damage. Including the scabbard it is 55cm in length.
